For Fake Honor Love Birds Burnt In Greater Noida

” Every Child has a right to be Protected from Honor Killing.”

Love birds Rekha and Sonu were thrashed, strangled and burnt to death in the viilage Vair under PS Kakor,in Greater Noida by the
father of the girl victim Gulab Singh and his relatives on 18th
September 2008.

Rekha(18 years)was a brilliant student of class 10th and the dalit boy Sonu was a laborious student of class 11th. Both were love friends since 2006.

According to the SP Rural Baburam on September 18 someone had informed the girl’s father Gulab Singh about the Rekha and Sonu’s meeting.Gulab Singh and his relatives caught both Rekha and Sonu in the farm and they were thrashed brutally. After that they were strangled and their bodies were thrown in the fire. They escaped from the site of the half burnt victim’s bodies due to the sudden arrival of the police force.

The main accused Gulab Singh is the one of the richest and the most powerful person of the Vair village, where as Sonu’s father
Raju @ Rajkumar is a dalit by caste and he belongs to a low income group.Raju was forced to compromise with the killers of his son and not to file an FIR against them.He was also locked up in the PS Kakor by the local police, but he was released by the SSP R.K. Chaturvedi.

The autopsy reports of the half burnt bodies of the victims shows that Rekha and Sonu were brutally beaten, strangled to death and after that their bodies were thrown in the fire.Multiple injuries on the both corpses says the horrible stories of the barbaric
crime and their long unsuccessful struggle for life from the
claws of the social monsters.

Victim Sonu’s autopsy report also confirms that his sexual organs were cut off by the killers.

Amazingly there were not any sign of grief or fear on the faces
of the accused.

Unfortunately, there are two groups in the villge Vair, where one group supports this barbaric social system and another group is against this social evil.

Such types of barbaric acts is now a national burning problem.
The graph of Honor Killing is rising at an alarming rate.

There must be stringent punishments for the real culprits of such types of heinous crime.Capital Punishment is the only solution of this social evil.

Let’s unite and work together for the eradication of this
barbaric social evil and for the protection of the matrimonial rights of the Children.

You are right Mr. Rajbir Deswal.

There must be stringent laws to combat such types of barbaric and horrible social
evils.

It also needs social awareness at the grass root level regarding the negative consequences of this inhumane social evil.

Thanks.

Good Luck.

This country would either go to the dogs or there is a revolution around the corner. There is a section of society that appreciates a peaceful way of living, where love gets its due respect. This society would not consider a low caste Dalit falling in love with a high class girl as something absurd. This section would not recognize, a Hindu, a Muslim or for that matter even a christian as different individuals. It is this section, which would bring about a revolution. Once such a communal group takes over, there would be no place for hooligans. They would either have to change or else they would get hammered or killed- it is this form of killing which will not meet a sore eye.

This is kinda inviting natures wrath, since very action has a reaction!
Moreover these so called honour killings bring dishonour for the coming generations of the victim,so i fail to understand the psychology of such people who kill their family members to save the family honour. So very ironical!

You are right Ms. Radhika.

It’s amazing and shocking that there are
some people in our society who blindly
supports honor killing of their own kids.

I don’t know how people can become so stupid...The severest punishment should be inflicted upon those involved without any mercy...just to show the others in their society that their fake honor can’t save them...

You are right Mr. Jitaditya.

There must be stringent punishment- Capital punishment for the accused like Gulab Singh of the village Vair,Greater Noida.

The rude behavior of the local cops of
the P.S. Kakor and the villagers with the victim boy Sonu’ father Raju alias Rajkumar is shameful.

After the pressure of the media and some
local social activists all accused have
been arrested by the police.

Thanks.

Good Luck.

Oh my god!!! The father of the girl did this??? Its one thing to wonder how can some one be so inhumane, but her own father? This is appalling!! Another thing I don’t get is that Noida is always on the hit list for the most bizarre and brutal cases. In every 2 days I get to hear about a rape or a similarly cruel case from Noida. This reflects really badly on the Noida police.

You are absolutely right Ms. Nithya N.

Recent failure of NOIDA police and CBI regarding the investigation into the Arushi murder mystery is a national shame.

Our cops needs a training for the
Protection of Children and Women Rights.

Thanks.

It’s such a shame to know that such things still exist in India. The other day someone was telling me that the concept of caste system and religious discrimination are like a bane on the path of India’s progress, which is so true! When will people learn? Why do people still choose the path of ignorance? I guess we really don’t have answers to these questions, which is painful in itself!

Honor killing is just an excuse that most cowards take shelter under. They believe that under the guise of this word they can gain community sympathy for their barbaric deeds. Its plain and simple cold-blooded murder.

Hooligans, who cannot thing beyond the caste system are blind to see the world that has long forgotten such crap. Killing a family member to save the families honor is as stupid as the word. If you cannot accept the fact, you can at least let them live. Bizzare, I believe Aneez has put it well by saying that God would definitely look into this matter. This father should die a death that the world would remember and although it is a barbaric thought, it cannot be more bizarre than the way he killed his daughter.
