Cool breeze,fragrance of the Siuli flowers and sweet songs of tiny birds reminds us that Mahalaya and Durga Puja has arrived.

On this auspicious day Goddess Mother Durga starts her journey from the Kailash mountain with their family to meet and bless their devotees and Durga puja celebration starts with this day.

On this auspicious day, early in the morning, at four o’ clock to be precise, a two hour long program is broadcast in Bangala from the Prashar Bharati All India Radio (AIR) and telecast by Doordarshan Kendra and other TV channels in Hindi Bangla and
other regional languages.
