Whatever mate! This article reeks of religious fanaticism and intolerance. Whatever happened to the right to expression! Why can’t people view a painting as an artist’s creative interpretation rather than taking it as a personal insult. BTW no artist would paint/perform/sculpt to piss people off!!!

Are you some kind of institutionalized person? If not, please be. You people have made this country an intolerant one; which never has been the case before.

The politicians always make stupid utterances but you people make it look real. You are among those who think what they believe is the only truth and anybody not toeing your line is a traitor or anti-India. Of course there are many Muslims and Christians also like you, but they only get ears to their nonsense because you make others feel insecure or in jeopardy.

You people are the first who shout about the accolades received by an Indian born, but last one to make him feel like an Indian.

My guru late shri J. Swaminathan , my most respected contemporarey art master S. H. Reza and all time classic Raja Ravi verma and others have made artistic expressions near and dear to their soule their content has a kind of spiritiuality and not myopic religiousity. If Hussain is making deliberate attempt to remain in controvercy and thuse command a higer price in the market it is up to him . If this is presentation of his soule it is his shit why to bother as democrate and living in a country where freedom of speatch has diffrent meanings for diffrent people.

He uses no cloths in the painting of Hindu Goddesses and covers the whole body in the paintings of women of other religion? Is it creativity or intellectual bankruptcy?

Eroticism has been an important component of any art form over the ages. Be it Indian temples or renaissance painting. If we keep aside our hypocrisies, it is a manifestation of real human nature.

Intolerant and chauvinistic behavior have been alarmingly increasing in this country. Be it the muslim terrorists or hindu fanatics, they are making life difficult for normal people.

Moral policing and censorship are never welcome in a democracy.

The Artistic liberty is like democracy where you allow a person freedom of speatch . However as it is true for democracy the art in the democratic country is of the people bythe people and for the people. It is up to Hussain saheb for whome this art is created and about whome it is created with what intention. If it is mony it is tolerable but if it is a political statement and with ulterior intentions of religious turmoil it is DANGEROUS and to preserve democracy it must have a prudent self imposed check.
